HATS!!! Why I haven't invested in these earlier I will never understand! My dear friend Jen was wearing the cutest hat during one of our Girls Night Out. I thought she looked adorable in it! I had 1 hat at home, but needed more options. So Jen, Diana, and I went to Target so I could buy more! Hats are the perfect "Stay At Home Mom" accesory! They make you look put together even though you didn't have time to run a bruch through your hair that day! Thanks Jen, you are brillant!!!! I now know why you were put in my life! 
9/10/09 Michael had my sunglasses in the car and handed them to someone - he couldn't remember. Needless to say, they were missing! They are my favorite glasses, and me being OCD, couldn't just let it go. I kept asking Michael where they were, and told him HE was finding them. Finally out of desperation I asked Merick if he had them and his responce was,"Nay, they're not in my hands...see!" So simple was his answer, yet so funny to the adults in the car!
8/11/09 Merick was downstairs watching Imagination Movers and my cell phone rang. Merick knew it was Michael by the ringer so he answered it. Michael asked to talk to me and Merick responded with,"Dad call back." Michael asked Merick why he couldn't bring me the phone and Merick said,"Mom is upstairs and I am watching my show, call her back dad." Michael got off the phone with a,"I love you, bye" and I had to call him back. Never interrupt Merick and his shows I guess!
8/9/09 Michael was talking loudly to Merick because he wasn't listening (what is new) and Merick says," Dad, you don't yell at me, only mom does." Sad to say it is true...I am the yeller in the family sorry Merick!
8/4/09 Michael has been growing a goatee this week and Merick looked at him one night and asked,"Dad where did you buy that?" pointing to his facial hair. Michael and I just had to laugh...I wish I knew what he was thinking!
7/15/09 Yesterday I was turning right at a red light. Merick has learned red means stop and green means go so now he is a back seat driver. Anyhoo, as I was turning Merick says,"Mom, you can't go the light is red...DUH." What? When did he learn to say duh and use it to burn me? I laughed forever on that one!
~5/15/09 If you EVER ask Merick where he wants to eat he will ALWAYS say "Costco". What 3 year old wants to eat at the Costco food court every single day of his life? Michael and I joked about having his birthday party there. I wonder if they take reservations...
~5/15/09 While we were on our morning jog today Merick says to me ,"Mom I look like Craig." I think he loves Craig so much that he wishes Craig was his dad?
~4/24/29 Whenever someone is crying Merick always asks to sing "I Am a Child of God" (it is a church song). When the song is over and if the child hasn't stopped crying Merick says ,"Mom, so and so didn't stop crying." I guess that song is the cure-all for crying, so moms out there try it and let me know how it goes! Sorry if you don't know the song, you are just going to have to find another way to stop your kids from crying.
~4/18/09 Everyone knows that Merick is the PICKIEST eatter on the face of the earth. Whenever he sits down to eat a meal he instantly starts negotiating with me. "Mom I eat this many?" (and he always has 3 fingers in the air, like 3 bits of anything is going to fill him up!) No wonder he hasn't gained more then 4 lbs in 2 years!
~4/18/09 Merick wakes up every morning and asks where we are going that day. I usually have a set schedule during the week of where we are going, but on Friday's we stay home. So when I tell him we are just going to stay home he says, "Mom, lets go to Target or Costco." He is such a funny guy...he loves the same places that I love!
~1/20/09 For some reason when Merick wants to say "Never Mind" he says "Never Care". For instance, Merick what do you want? "Never care Mom never care." It is so funny and we have corrected him, but he hasn't caught on yet. I secretively love it!
~9/23/08 Whenever I tell Merick no he says,"Don't say no mom". Like it is going to change my mind?
~9/22/08 I am a horrible mom, but I was in the fridge getting a drink of water and Merick was standing in front of me. I thought I would be funny and pour some water on his head. He walked away without saying anything. I thought that was weird, but after thinking about it he came back into the kitchen and said,"Mom, I am so mad! Don't do that again! You go sit in time out!" I wonder how many times a day I say that to him? Bad mom, funny Merick!~
9/21/08 Merick can now tell when Michael is making fun of him or is laught AT him. When this happens Mericks gets his feelings hurt and says, "DAD DON'T BE FUNNY!" Little does he know that dad is being the furthest thing from funny.~
~Merick bit Michael so hard on the shoulder while we were at Costco. After getting over the pain Michael asked Merick why he bit him and Merick said,"I was just being a tiger with you. A tiger goes ROOOOAARRR!" And Merick makes the tiger noise
~ While Merick was potty training and going #2 for the first time he started to gag. Michael asked him what was wrong. He said that he had to puke because he smelt really bad. "I need to take a bath, I smell really bad."~
~We were getting off the freeway and there was a homeless man on the corner. Merick looked at him and said,"Mom, he's yucky, he's really dirty, he needs a bath."~
